No Man Can Serve Two Masters Matthew 6:24January 29, 2008

Many people who call themselves christians live today like the world they are suppose to be saved from.  Jesus said; however, in Matthew 6:24,  "No man can serve two masters for either he will hate the one and love the other or else he will hold to the one and despise the other."  One of the greatest problems we are seeing in churches today is a lack of real dedication and commitment to christian living.  Paul says in Romans 6:16, "Know you not that to whom you yield yourself servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey whether sin unto death or obedience unto rightousness."  Most conversations that you hear between so called christians is about everything except Christ.  There are ways whereby we can know that we belong to Jesus Christ.   The first is Paul said wer are bought with a price in 1 Cor. 6:20, "For you are bought with a price; therefore, glory God in your body and in your spirit."  We can say assuredly as Paul said "I am a debtor."  When we realize that his precious blood purchased our salvation and when we put our faith and trust in him, we realize that we are indeed indebted to him.  Then we need to live everyday in such a way that others will see Christ in us.

The next thing we need to realize is that we are a new creature (creation), "Old things are passed away and behold all things have become new." 1 Cor. 5:17.  This means that all things are new and we should live in newness and fullness of life that has been given us because we belong to him.

So in closing this short message,  I have to ask you if you have been made new?  Have you accepted the price that was paid for your sins?  Have you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior?  If you have not done that I invite you to do so today.  Thank you and May God Bless You.

What if your heart should stop?September 11, 2007

What would you do if you knew you were going to die today? Have you ever thought about that? Are there things you would try to set straight if you knew that today would be your last day to live?In the Bible in the book of Hebrews, chapter 9;27 it says "And as it is appointed unto men once to die but after this the judgement". Now this means that death is comming to everyone and as none of us know when it is imperitive that we be prepared..Isaiah the prophet told a king who believed he was dying in Isaiah 38;1 ;"Set your house in order".  How may we do this and be prepared when death finds us?

Now the first thing I suggest is that we make sure all of our decions bring honor to God. Paul said in I Corinthians 10;31 "Wheather  therefore ye eat or drink or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God".Our lives would be  livable if God was obeyed in all the decisions we make.

Now let me suggest that we make sure all bitterness is gone from our hearts and lives. The evidence of our being forgiven is if we can forgive.. Jesus said in Matthew  6:14-15 "For if ye forgive men their traspasses your Heavenly Father will also Forgive you,but if ye forgeve not  men their traspasses neitherwill your Father forgive your traspasses".How can we say we have been forgiven if we cannot forgive others that have  sinned against us? jesus said we can not.

Finally, keep the Cross of  Christ Jesus in view to guide you. BY putting your Faith and Trust in him For your Salvation. That way you can  be as Paul said in I Cor:: !%:55-57 :"O death where is thy sting; thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ'" Thanks and God bless you.

What does it mean to be Justified?July 2, 2006

In the Bible in the book of Romans in chapter five is another wonderful description  of what happens when we have a right relationship with God through his son Jesus Christ. I challange anyone who reads this to read for yourself this promise of the benefits that are available when we put our Faith and Trust in Jesus Christ for our Salvation.Someone says "well this is when we can go to heaven right". This is most certainly true but there is so much more. What I will attempt to list for you are the LIVING BENEFITS that come with this right relationship with God. You don't have to die to receive these things. They can be ours while we are waiting to go to heaven.

Now to be Justified means we have been made just as if we had never sinned. All our sins are under the BLOOD OF CHRIST.and as verse one says we have PEACE WITH GOD. Did you ever wonder where this peace could be had? Well here it is.

Now verse two says "we have access"-to whom-to God through Jesus Christ his Son.. And because of this we "rejoice in hope of  the Glory of God.  Now this is not a maybe so hope but a KNOW SO HOPE of one day being a part of his GLORY when he does take us to be with him in heaven, .

The only way this can happen is for you, whoever you are, to put your Faith and Trust in Jesus Christ for your personal Salvation. Will you do that? Thank You

Between the old life and the newMay 28, 2006

In the entry I want to try to show where  we live on a daily basis as a Christian. One who has put their faith and trust in Christ for salvation.

In the 13th chapter of the book of Genesis in the bible we find a very intresting account of Abraham, who upon the leading of God has left his home in the wicked city of Ur of the Chaldees.God had told him he would lead him to a land that would belong to him and his descendents forever. Now he has arrived at the leading of God he pitch his tent near a place called Bethel. This name means "The House Of God"..On the other side of this area is a place  called Aia which means "The House of the World".

Now what is intresting here is that God leads Abraham to build an altar to him right in the middle of these two places. All who are saved and in Christ find themselves with their new life in him on one side and the old life of sin, that we came from on the other.

In this same account Abraham did something in time of trouble he should not have done. He went to Egypt  for help. One thing led to another and this man failed God, failed his wife, and even failed the people of Egypt.

When he came back into the land he did what all who are saved must do.He went back to the place of the altar and re-dedicated himself to God. You see the same God that saves and forgives when  we repent of our sins will also lead us in our daily Christian life.

Where do you stand with God? You can be saved today by putting your faith and trust in his Son, JESUS CHRIST. Won't you do that today?  Thank You.

The importance of the ressurection of Jesus ChristMay 10, 2006

There is, by necessity a completed cycle in our atonment for our sins. We sometimes stress that  Christ died  to take away our sins, which he certainly did. But there is another aspect of this that is spmetimes left off or may be passed over when we talk, about this. That is the RESSURECTION of our LORD and SAVIOUR< JESUS CHRIST. What was and is the importance of this wonderful event?

Without the ressurection  a completed atonment could not have been achieved. This is why the enemies of Christ have always fought to discredit  his ressurection from the dead. Paul said in I Corinthians 15  that he was seen of several hundred after his ressurection and before he ascended, As well as his own disciples..

Paul also said in these verses that without the ressurection there is no hope of a life in Heaven because this act shows that the promises of GOD were FULFILLED.

A short time after his ressurection, Jesus ascended back to heaven. He is there today at the right hand of God.When you and I come to the place in our lives that we realize we are lost and condemned to hell we ask him to forgive our sins and save our soul.

Have you put your FAITH and TRUST in our RISEN LORD for SALVATION?

                                                   Thank you
