$100 Session

Posted on May 21, 2008 at 07:07 PM
I think this is the first time I have ever made $100 in one session playing at my limits, so I thought I would post about it. As usual this month I ran hotter than the sun. The biggest pot was a 3 way 30BB pot at .5/1 where I flopped a full house against AA and the other villain turned the nut flush. I was really happy to take that one down!

One other cool thing to note about this session is that I was able to pull to break even in my shot taking at 1/2 this month.  Looks like I will continue to add 1/2 hands to my sessions when there are good games going. I try to only sit in the best 1/2 games when I play, but there are always so many more juicy .5/1 games going that I find it more profitable to play lower most of the time.

Here's how I have done in 1/2:

Thats all for today. See ya later!

Very nice session, Jordan. I took a shot at .5/1 last week and didn't do so well.... I just lost my entire db in PT so have had to start all over. Is this all at Stars?

Thanks for the comment. Keep at .5/1 and you will break through I am sure. When I was moving up I from .25/.50 I had a quite a few setbacks taking shots as well.

Even though I had a good session here, I am having similar problems moving up to 1/2. In fact I am running pretty bad this month and have been playing mostly .5/1 (and not really winning there either, lol)

This session was on VC Poker which is an iPoker site.

Yeah, I have 400 BBs for .50/1 but haven't played a ton of LHE, so wanted to get better first. I'll try again. Also, I left a post in the sesh review at 2p2 for you.
