What Can Jesus Do For You?January 18, 2007

Did you ever ask yourself this question?  Did you ever think that where you are loosing out in trying to be satisfied is that perhaps you are looking in the wrong place? Then ending up with more quesions to a troubled heart and life.

In the Bible in the book of Romans in chapter five and verses eight and nine we are told that while we are "sinners" Christ died for us. But it didn't stop there. In verse nine he said "much more then being justified  by his blood". In two short verses mankinds greatest need is set forth and the remedy for that need..The fact that mankind is,by nature, a "sinner" is profound in it's implications. Estranged from God, seperated and eternally condemned because of this sinful condition.. Then just as astounding the cure is set forth. Being "justified by his blood";the blood of Christ of course. To be 'justified' is to be made just as if we had never sinned and as Acts 13:39 says "from all things.

Now we started by asking 'what can Jesus do for you' and by realizing our condition as a 'sinner' and by putting our faith and trust in Jesus we become his.He is our older brother and God is our Father. But there are other benefits which we receive. As a child of God and younger brother to Jesus we can have power over the daily sins that try to creep into our life after we become saved or as we said 'justified'. Psalms 116;16 says"Lord I am your servent, thou hast loosened me from my bonds".It is Jesus that can do that for you my friends. No one else can. Nothing else can.

Now please notice also some of the other things that are ours when we put our faith and trust  in Jesus for our eternal salvation. Hebrews 10:1 & 2 tells us we can have a clear conscience which let's us know that we have been forgiven of ouir sins. You will have to read this wonderful chapter to fully appreciate this but I am at another benefit at this point.  That is the blood of Jesus Christ sets us apart to  God and it does it "once and for all". When we come to Jesus Christ by putting our faith and trust in him for salvation Hebrews 10:10 tells us we are 'sanctified (set aside) by the offfering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all'. This means he will not have to die for us but one time, which he has already done.It also means we will not have to be saved but one time. Now what will you let Jesus Christ do for you? It all starts with a personal faith and trust  in him (Jesus ) for your salvation.Have you done that? Will you do that?     Thanks and God Bless you.
