| Are we crazy to take on parenting at our age? I got into this mommyhood thing late in life, in my 40s. My brave (i.e.crazy) husband has already raised four children, and he wants to do it all over again. |

Romy has a small ceramic wallhanging in her room. It's a picture of a cat sleeping peacefully on a windowsill, with a sweet little kittycat smile on his face. This evening Romy patted it and said "Awww, poor little lonely kitty." I asked her why he's lonely. She said "Because his wife left him, and his mama got into a fight with a snake and she died.". And I was worried that fairytales were too violent....
